Leona's back.

I've been listening to this song since Bleeding Love came out, but I turned on VH1 today and it looks like they're dropping it as another single. Better in Time is fantastic, and I really think Leona gets to show off her vocal range more in this song.
Her songs are really relatable, I think. And its great that we have a mainstream pop artist who can actually sing.

Note: I couldn't post the actually video because the embedding is disabled on all of them.

just say yes.

I found this great website called YesSyle, and it has the most adorable clothes. They are pretty affordable and they have very feminine, flowing clothes that I love. There are a lot of bows and ruffles, but there are also more edgy things, too.

The company is based in Asia, and they feature Asian designers, so the clothes on here will probably be clothes no one else has. They distribute globally, too (which is the first online retailer in Asia to do so)

Their Mission
"To provide customers with an exciting shopping experience, superior service and a fine selection of affordable, high quality lifestyle products."

Edit: The only issue is many of their clothes only come in small sizes :[

the birdcage.

No, not the movie. The veil!

I am no where near getting married, but I know I want a birdcage veil when and if that ever happens. I think they are so chic, and really makes a statement in comparison to flowy, layered veils everyone else wears. I don't know if I will wear mine to both the ceremony and reception... maybe a traditional veil for the ceremony, then switch to the birdcage after (hey, every girl dreams out their wedding day!)

It's a short veil, with no layers and usually made with wider netting. Traditionally it was worn with a hat, but it is most often attached with a comb or pins today. You often see feathers or flowers accompanying it.

hello goodbuy! A tribute to Target

Can I just say I have a love affair with Target?
I went today to exchange a t-shirt, and everytime I go I want to buy a million things.

They always have these designer spotlights. Like right now it's Rogan, so you can get unique clothes without breaking your budget. You wouldn't think a place where you could buy toilet paper would have a good selection of clothes, but I usually find a good variety of things to choose from. Their bags are great, too. I get big ones there to use as a schoolbag. And my swimsuits usually always come from there... and a good amount of shoes.

I love their home furnishing, too. Right above me are two pictures of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn I got from there. I was ecstatic when I saw them! Oh I have this one, too.

And everything else...
They have a good selection of snacks (which are cheaper than you'd think) Great beauty products (like everything Burt's Bees and recycled make-up cases) And a good variety of movies (Rocky Horror Picture Show and an Affair to Remember were seven bucks!)
I love Target. They have so many Audrey Hepburn things....

I think it's time...

to introduce you to a love of mine.

yes, I LOVE IT!

Now I have to explain my feeling about this show.

First, Season 3 was amazingggg. I loved everyone (except Danny and Lacey, even though they were still great dancers) I even got to go to the tour! And were Pasha, Neil, and Kameron the most adorable thing you have EVER seen? It holds a special place in my heart and I don't think i could ever love another season as much, but I must admit there are great dancers this year (But no cute boys, hello!) Now I was also a little upset Shane Sparks left. His dances were often hit and misses, and got a little monotonous to me, but I felt he really knew hip-hop and these new choreographers... not so much. The dances to "No Air" and "Bleeding Love" were fantastic, don't get me wrong, but I felt they had to much contemporary in it. When I watch hip-hop I want that vibrance that comes with it. I was happy about Twitchington's performance last night. That is the style I really like.

Mia is an absolute genius to me. I love just about everything she does. I loved wade, but I don't think he is going to be as involved this year :[ Mandy Moore also has some good dances. I'm not going to even talk about my favorite dancers at this point because it is way to all over the place. One thing is for sure... I love Twitch!!!

and tonight---

I was happy with the eliminations, honestly. What do you guys think?

and one question... when I add a hyperlink, how do I just make one word clickable and it takes you to the site? The code I usually use doesnt work.

Fashionspiration- Katy Perry

I'm not all that crazy about her music. I really don't think she is as "edgy" as everyone claims her to be, but I do think her image has some note-worthy aspects. I really like her pin-up 40's/50's glam look mixed with 80's boldness. I don't know how inventive her clothes actually are, but nevertheless I like 'em.

No sleep 'till Brooklyn.

One store I love, even if I rarely purchase their clothes, is Brooklyn Industries.
Love, love, love them, especially since Brooklyn is where I want to live.

I always love the outfits they put together, and this one is for their new arrivals.

I really like the mix of tan, black and pop of red. The glasses, hair, and jacket remind me of a modern Holly Golightly, no?

Sadly, the only cash I have is $40, and that is going to be saved up for (hopefully) some vintage. Seriously, I am applying for a job after vacation and then head to Forever 21 and Target with a mom-approved budget. Ughhh I hate not having my own money.

Fresh start!

Hello lovelies (if there'll be any at all)

I have wanted to start a serious blog for some time now, but what would it be about? I had no idea. It seemed my life wasn't thrilling enough to write about. I didn't have a particular amount of knowledge, resources, or money to write about some fantastic theme many people would be interested in reading. I really didn't think I would even have enough time. Even at this moment I feel guilty for typing up these words while my summer assignments lay unstarted. On Photography is laying on my sidetable along with my Eudora Welty books and my poor, old camera is hidden in my closet. Zero out of 300 pictures have been snapped. Anyway I digress... I desperately waned to blog, to have an audience out there somewhere who would read my words. I wanted to carve out my own little home on the vast land known as the world wide web.

So here I am. And what is to come, I'm really not sure. Hopefully, it will be of some kind of interest to someone who by chance clicks there way into my little home. And if they have, well... welcome!
